According to the Daily Record, Manchester City’s Fergal Harkin has rejected a move to SK Lommel after holding talks with Celtic.
It’s claimed that City have offered football partnerships manager Harkin the chance to be ‘more hands-on’ with Lommel, one of their partner clubs.
However, Harkin has rejected the move as he seemingly prefers Celtic instead having spoken the Bhoys about becoming their director of football.
In fact, some sources believe Harkin’s snub is because he is about to make a move to Parkhead this summer.
Lommel sit in Belgium’s second tier and had five players on loan from City this past season, including ex-Hibernian winger Thomas Agyepong.
They’re owned by the City Football Group, but Harkin has seemingly decided to leave for Celtic instead staying in that group of clubs.

Celtic need a complete rebuild this summer, and that means adding a director of football as well as a manager.
It looks like Eddie Howe will take the latter role, and Irishman Harkin looks likely to follow in a real step-up from his current role at City – and certainly a bigger role than the one on offer at Lommel.
