Arsenal could use Eddie Nketiah as a makeweight in a deal to sign Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma, Sussex Live say.
Bissouma seems to have emerged as Arsenal’s top midfield target heading into the summer.
The £40 million Brighton midfielder has seriously impressed, which has led to a clutch of clubs being interested in him ahead of the summer (Daily Mail).
Arsenal may have a trump card to play in the negotiations though.
Brighton are keen on Nketiah, and Arsenal apparently would be willing to offer the striker and money to land Bissouma.
Smart move from Edu
That could be a clever deal for Arsenal, who are determined to strengthen but only have a limited budget.
Bissouma could have been an expensive purchase in pure monetary terms, but Nketiah’s inclusion should reduce the cost of the deal.

Nketiah has shown signs of promise at Arsenal, but the Gunners do have Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Folarin Balogun, Gabriel Martinelli and Alexandre Lacazette in place, reducing their need for a striker.
Bissouma, meanwhile, would surely walk into their starting line-up and could be an ideal man to partner Thomas Partey in midfield.
