According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock is unsure about a return to Newcastle United.

Willock spent the second half of this past season on loan at Newcastle from Arsenal.

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce wants to bring the midfielder back to St. James’ Park, according to the report.

The report has added that Arsenal want £20 million as transfer fee for the 22-year-old, who is ‘still unsure’ about going back to the Magpies.

In dilemma

Willock played a big role in Newcastle staving off relegation to the Championship.

The 22-year-old scored eight goals in 14 Premier League matches.

There is no surprise that Newcastle manager Bruce reportedly wants him back in his team.

However, Willock’s reported stance is understandable.

The easy option for the English midfielder would be to go back to Newcastle.

After all, the fans love him, and the midfielder would be playing week in and week out for Newcastle.

However, Arsenal are Willock’s club, and going out on loan again would affect his chances of playing for the Gunners in the long run.

What do they say? Out of sight, out of mind.

Willock should wait until pre-season to make a firm decision on his future.

The midfielder could well impress Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta when the squad returns for pre-season training.

That would then give Willock the chance to establish himself in the Gunners’ first team.
