Matt Doherty says that Lucas Moura would ‘smoke’ everyone in Tottenham Hotspur’s team in a 100 metre race, in an interview on the club’s official website.
Lucas’ pace has proven a weapon for Tottenham in recent years, with the Brazilian a key player under Jose Mourinho.
Doherty felt it was clear that Lucas would be the fastest player at Tottenham, if they were all to race against each other.
But Dele Alli’s hesitance in the clip, suggested that the attacking midfielder was less certain.
“I think you’re going to get that one,” Doherty said to Alli, immediately after being asked who would win the sprint battle at Spurs.
“Who has done it really confidently? I don’t know who to say,” Alli responded.
“Think about it! There is literally only one guy who would smoke all of us.”
“You have said Lucas, haven’t you?” Alli then questioned.
And the right-back said: “Yeah, he’s so quick over 20 metres, and because he’s ahead of you over 20 metres there’s no way you’re catching back!”

Rapid Lucas
Lucas’ speed has never really been in doubt, but his end product can be frustrating at times.
The forward has fallen out of favour since Mourinho’s departure, with Ryan Mason preferring other options.
The likes of Steven Bergwijn and Gareth Bale moved ahead of Moura in the pecking order in the final stages of the season.
Moura managed to score three goals and claimed four assists in the Premier League this term, despite playing 30 times.
There are now some doubts over his future at Tottenham, as the summer transfer window edges closer.
