According to Goal, Liverpool are making a last-gasp bid for Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the hope of hijacking Bayer Leverkusen.
It’s claimed that Issahaku is on the verge of signing for Leverkusen, but a final agreement hasn’t yet been reached.
That means there is still time for somebody else to swoop in, with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund both launching last-ditch bids.
Issahaku is currently with Steadfast FC in Ghana’s second tier, but any deal is thought to be worth around £2million.
The 17-year-old has been excelling for Steadfast, and he even earned a call-up to the senior Ghana side back in March 2021.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Issahaku has been branded a ‘jewel’ by Steadfast president Haruna Iddrisu, and looks set for a big move to Europe soon.

Liverpool have been tracking another Ghanaian talent in Nordsjaelland winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, but he’s valued at around £12million.
Issahaku would come at a fraction of the cost, but the Reds need to make quite the offer if they’re to sneak in and beat Leverkusen.
