Curtis Woodhouse has said on Twitter that Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford should have selected ahead of Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins in the England squad.
Villa striker Watkins is part of the provisional England squad for the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
However, Leeds striker Bamford has been left out despite scoring more than the former Brentford star.
The 27-year-old former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker scored 17 goals and gave seven assists in the league this season.
Watkins scored 14 goals and gave five assists in the league for Villa this campaign.
Former Sheffield United midfielder Woodhouse believes that Bamford should have been included ahead of Watkins in the England squad.
England head coach Gareth Southgate named a 33-man provisional squad today.
Bamford should have been included.

Fair enough if the striker did not eventually make the 26-man cut – after all, he has not played for England before – but Southgate could have found a place for him in the provisional squad.
Perhaps this will motivate Bamford even more next season, and he will score even more goals to prove a point to Southgate.
Bamford not being involved in the Euro 2020 finals will also give him a break this summer.
