According to the Daily Mail, Juventus are now joining the race to sign Sergio Romero amid interest from Everton.
It’s claimed that the Italian giants are keen to bring in Romero as cover for first-choice stopper Wojciech Szczesny.
Valencia are also keen on Romero, but the money involved is beyond them – even with Romero’s contract at Manchester United expiring next month.
Romero can sign for free, but it’s believed that he earned around £70,000-a-week at United, and may be looking for similar wages in his next move.
A move to join Andrea Pirlo’s side could be appealing for Romero, with Gianluigi Buffon poised to leave this summer and free up a squad spot.
Juve are a major European force and can offer continental football, whereas Everton have missed out on Europe and can’t exactly promise Romero playing time over Jordan Pickford.

Marcel Brands – who signed Romero for AZ Alkmaar – may believe that Romero is the ideal competition for Pickford having tried to sign him back in October, before landing Robin Olsen instead.
The Mail claimed in April that Romero hopes to sign for Everton this summer, but Juve entering the race poses a major threat to the Toffees’ hopes of striking a deal.
