Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has praised Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane after he won the golden boot today.

The Tottenham striker edged out Salah in the race for the Premier League’s top scoring crown after netting on the final day.

Both Tottenham and Liverpool won their respective matches today, as they finished their seasons in positive fashion.

But it was Kane who reached 23 goals for the season and in fine style too.

The Tottenham striker lashed home a volley with great technique, as Spurs beat Leicester City 4-2.

Salah showed no ill feeling towards Kane for beating him to the crown though, and quickly praised him on social media website Twitter.

Salah is likely to still be delighted with his work for Liverpool today.

He may not have scored but he put in a strong showing as Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-0 to seal a place in next season’s Champions League.

Salah and Kane have battled it out to be the Premier League’s top scorer across numerous years now, with the pair among the most dangerous attackers in England.

Kane has enjoyed arguably the finest season of his career despite Tottenham’s struggles this campaign, and also topped the Premier League’s assist charts.
