According to 90min, there seems to be something of a civil war going on at Crystal Palace in regards to finding Roy Hodgson’s replacement.

The report states that Steve Parish is keen to hire Sean Dyche as the 73-year-old’s successor at Selhurst Park.

However, Crystal Palace’s co-owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer would prefer to appoint Steve Cooper.

Harris and Blitzer believe the Swansea boss ticks a lot of boxes in terms of what Crystal Palace are looking for.

Despite that, Parish still feels that Dyche is the best option for the Eagles.

He has admired the 49-year-old Burnley boss for over a year, and Dyche was even in line for the job in 2020 before Hodgson decided to stay on.

Cooper is currently trying to navigate Swansea through the Championship Play-Offs.

If he does so, we would presume the south Londoners will find it difficult to lure him away.

90min add that Dyche is keen to prove himself away from Turf Moor, and Crystal Palace are not fazed by any compensation charges they may have to pay.

There are certainly options out there to replace Hodgson.

However, the first thing Parish, Harris and Blitzer need to do is get on the same page, or finding a replacement will be even more difficult.
