Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Arsenal and their interest in Yves Bissouma.
Arsenal have been linked with Bissouma for quite a while at this point, and the Gunners were reportedly favourites to sign the Brighton man at one point.
However, Romano now says that Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder has cooled, claiming that they are looking for something different.
“He’s been linked to Arsenal yes, but I’m told he’s not the hottest name for Arsenal, you know. They are looking for something different. For United, at the moment, no, but we’re in May, so let’s see what happens,” Romano said.
This is certainly interesting to hear.

At one point it looked as though Bissouma would be the man for Arsenal this summer, but now Romano says they’re not that keen on him.
Perhaps this has something to do with reports that the Gunners are going to ramp up their interest in Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge, who reportedly wants a move to the Emirates.
The London club certainly need a midfielder through the door this summer, but it seems as though Bissouma may not be the man Mikel Arteta and Edu look towards.
