It was the first time that BTS fans got a clear and ~uncensored~look at the tattoo. The design that people had previously not seen was a microphone.

The microphone tattoo is placed right next to his eye and crossword tattoos. While Jungkook is yet to reveal the meaning behind his sleeve tattoo, fans think that it represents his love for music.

All of Jungkook’s tattoos and the meanings behind them

Jungkook has a seemingly endless collection of tattoos. It was back in 2019 when fans first spotted the BTS member’s tattoos. Although other members have tattoos too, Jungkook’s tats are the most visible.

  • The Army Tattoo

The most prominent of Jungkook’s tats is the ARMY one. The A in ARMY has no line across it, which makes it look like an upside-down V. The pop group’s fans think it’s a combination of the members’ initials (V, RM, and Yoongi).

  • The J tattoo

Placed on his right finger is a tattoo that says ‘J.’ It’s placed right over the ‘M’ of ARMY. Fans believe it stands for Jimin, J-Hope, and Jin’s names.

  • The BTS heart tattoo

Right underneath the ARMY tattoo is the heart, which fans believe signifies his love for the BTS fans.

  • The Crown

Jungkook’s right hand acts as a perfect canvas for his beautiful tattoos, as most of them, are placed there. The Crown is located on his right pointer finger, making it one of his more visible tattoos.

Fans have many theories about what it means, but they couldn’t agree on one meaning for it.

  • The thumb one

The 23-year-old singer also has “0613” tattooed below his right thumb. Fans think it refers to June 13, which is the day BTS debuted in 2013.

  • Three black lines

Placed on Jungkook’s right arm are three black lines. Fans’ think it’s connected to the Korean flag, which has similar lines.

  • A golden coloured eye

While there are very few pictures of this, back in 2020, ARMY supposedly noticed an undiscovered tattoo right below the singer’s elbow. It was a golden-coloured eye.

  • Most Beautiful Moment in Life tattoo

In a clip from BTS’ 5th Muster Magic Shop: Japan Edition from August 2020, Jungkook featured a new tattoo right under his elbow. The tattoo reads, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” in traditional Chinese characters. Fans believe that it is a callback to their HYYH era from 2015.

HYYH is Hwa Yong Yeon Hwa in Chinese and refers to the happiest/most beautiful moment in life.

  • The Tiger

In Jan 2021, Big Hit shared a behind-the-scenes snippet of Jungkook. The singer was filming ON at the time. Fans noticed that at the 1:23 mark, they saw a glimpse of what looked like a tiger tattoo.

The ARMYs realized that it’s connected to the Korean culture. In the past, the population of tigers was very high in Korea and it was called the Land of Tigers.
