Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Steve Bould has been sacked as the Under-23 coach.

The Athletic are reporting tonight that Bould has been dismissed from his role as the Under-23 side’s coach.

The Arsenal legend was in charge of the club’s Under-23 team since the summer of 2019.

Bould switched jobs with Freddie Ljungberg – who is now no longer at the club – at the time.

Under the 58-year-old, the Under-23 side finished 10th in the Premier League 2 Under-23 league this season.

Bould is a club legend who played for Arsenal from 1988 until 1999.

The former England international central defender won the league title with Arsenal in 1989, 1991 and 1998,and the FA Cup in 1993 and 1998.

The Englishman was part of the Arsenal academy from 2001 until 2012 before becoming the assistant manager of the first team.

It will be interesting to see now who gets Bould’s job.

Perhaps the performances and results were not great?

Whatever the reason might be, there is no doubt that Bould is an Arsenal legend who gave decades of his life to the Gunners.
