Reported Leeds United target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is ‘100 per cent’ certain to leave Russian giants Rubin Kazan during the summer transfer window, the winger’s father told Soccer.RU.
Not only is the jet-heeled forward destined to depart the Kazan Arena, he is destined to leave Russia too, it seems.
According to a man with something of an inside track on Kvaratskhelia’s future – he is his father after all – the 20-year-old Georgia international will be flying down the flanks in one of Europe’s major leagues next season.
But just how high can the winger fly?
Russian publication Soccer believe that Victor Orta, Leeds’ cult hero director of football, has already held talks with Kvaratskhelia ahead of a deal that would set the Premier League entertainers back a cool £26 million.
Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are interested too, with Leeds facing a major battle for one of the most coveted youngsters on the continent.

“I assure you 100 per cent that Khvicha will definitely leave Rubin in the summer,” Kvaratshkelia senior explained.
“I will not say yet which team he will join. Many clubs (are interested). He will rest and calmly decide for himself where to play. I want to assure that my son will not stay in Russia.”
With eight assists and four goals to his name this season, Kvaratskhelia’s agent is convinced that the former Dinamo Tibilsi starlet has the potential to Real Madrid while explaining just how close he came to joining the reigning Bundesliga champions in 2018.
The lure of a Milan, a Munich or a Juventus cannot be overstated, of course, although perhaps an opportunity to work with a famed developer of talent could tempt Kvaratshkelia to accept Leeds’ offer instead.
After all, absolutely no one would have dared to predict, when Marcelo Bielsa arrived at Elland Road in 2018, that Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford would be bona fide Premier League stars three years later.
