Hotel Transylvania 4 trailer made Adam Sandler’s absence quite visible. The trailer introduced Brian Hull as the new voice behind Dracula. But why did Adam leave Hotel Translyvania 4?

Adam had been a part of the movie since it first came out in 2012. Since then, the movie has gained a lot of popularity among its audience. Now, the movie is set to release its last installment in December 2021. However, Adam will not be coming back for his famous role. Instead, fans will get to see Brian.

Why did Adam Sandler leave Hotel Transylvania 4?

Sony never revealed why Adam left the movie. At the same time, Adam has not commented on his absence. The first three installments saw people fall in love with Adam’s character. Now, for the final installment, Brian will be taking the actor’s place.

Despite the change, directors Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon don’t think Adam’s absence will have a lot of impact on the movie. Speaking to Screen Rant, Derek revealed that the plot paved way for Brian to take on the role of Dracula.

He said: “The fact that he turns into a human was a good opportunity to do things a little differently. He could be a little different than he was in the movies, and it would be natural. So, it kind of was the perfect movie to have a person come in and fill those shoes.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer added: “We started with the design, and how do we make that character feel as different as possible. He’s not going to animate the same; he’s not going to look the same. And it felt like embracing Brian and, more specifically, embracing what the difference in that would be as a human. It felt like it was a great opportunity.”

What is Hotel Transylvania 4 going to be about?

Hotel Transylvania 4 will see Dracula trying to live his life as a human and put his powerful vampire personality in the backseat. This was one of the reasons the directors thought a change in Dracula’s voice will not have a large impact on the movie.

The trailer of the movie shows Dracula in his human avatar. Meanwhile, the trailer also Johnny embracing his monster avatar. The trailer has already received over 3 million views.
