Steve Nicol has said on ESPN that Nuno would be a good managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur.

The Liverpool legend believes that Tottenham fans would love the football that Wolves manager Nuno would play with the team.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new manager as the full-time replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Wolves boss Nuno is one of the candidates, according to a report in the Daily Mail last month, as covered by HITC Sport.

Nicol said on ESPN: “Somebody like Nuno is all about football. Regardless of the results Wolves have had this year, they play attacking football, they have got an identity and Spurs need that again.

“Listen, we didn’t complain when Pochettino came in, that wasn’t a high-profile signing, but it was the right signing, and I think Nuno would be as well. The way Nuno plays the game I think would definitely suit Spurs fans.”

Wolves are not doing well this season, but it does not look likely that the Premier League club will sack Nuno.

The 47-year-old former Valencia and FC Porto manager himself seems to be happy at the Molineux Stadium.

However, in football, you just never know.

Nuno is a very experienced manager who has been in the Champions League.

The Portuguese guided the Wanderers to the Europa League not so long ago.

The 47-year-old has won 187 of the 389 matches he has been in charge in his career so far and has a points per game of 1.68.

Wolves do play some good football, and there is no reason why Nuno would not be able to replicate it at Spurs.
