Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus are likely to be disappointed in their quest to sign the next Bruno Fernandes, if a report from Portugal is to be believed.
Pedro Goncalves is a rising star in European football, and there is no surprise that Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United are reported to be interested in the attacking midfielder.
Record in November 2020 compared the 22-year-old Sporting Lisbon star to fellow attacking midfielder and Portuguese compatriot Fernandes, who has been superb for Manchester United.
Signed from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, the 26-year-old Portugal international attacking midfielder has scored 26 goals and provided 18 assists in 50 appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils.
Goncalves, 22, has scored 20 goals and given three assists in 31 league games in Portugal this season, and is clearly on the right track.
Eurosport reported in April interest from Arsenal in signing Goncalves, while Record has claimed that Liverpool, United and Juventus all want the 22-year-old former Wolverhampton Wanderers prospect.
Sky Sports actually linked Liverpool with the Portuguese youngster back in February.

However, Record has reported that Sporting have no intention of cashing in on the ‘new Bruno Fernandes’ now.
The Portuguese publication says that Sporting want to hand the youngster a new contract which will see his salary rise from €500,000 (£430,000) to €700k (£602,000) per season and increase his release clause from €60 million (£51.50 million) to €80 million (£68.80 million).
It seems that the likes of Liverpool and Juventus will have to wait for at least another year to get their hands on Goncalves.
