Rodrigo was in action for Leeds in their Premier League game against Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The Spain international, who can play as a striker, winger and attacking midfielder, was superb for the Whites.
The 30-year-old, signed from Valencia last summer, provided the assist for Patrick Bamford’s goal in the 73rd minute.
It was a wonderful ball from Rodrigo, who is starting to show what he is capable of.
Leeds won the match 2-0, thanks to goals from Bamford and Tyler Roberts.
It has not been an easy season for Rodrigo, who has had injury and coronavirus problems, but things are changing for him now.
Against Southampton today, Rodrigo took one shot, played four key passes, had a pass accuracy of 74.3%, won three headers, took 44 touches, made one interception, and put in two crosses.
Rodrigo has established himself as an important player for Leeds, and his influence will grow next season.
