Liverpool have won against West Bromwich Albion today, but only just.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have got the better of West Brom 2-1 away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League today.

The Baggies, who have already been relegated to the Championship, took the lead in the 15th minute.

Mohamed Salah restored parity for last season’s Premier League champions in the 33rd minute.

Liverpool made some brilliant attacking forays, but they simply could not get the ball past West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone…

Until the fifth minute of injury time.

Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and today the Brazil international showed that he is a brilliant header of the ball as well.

The former AS Roma star went up at the other end and planted his header from a corner into the back of the West Brom net.

It was absolutely remarkable, and it left former Manchester City right-back and Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards very excited for Alisson.

Former England international goalkeeper Rob Green was following the match for BBC Radio 5 Live, and he was impressed by Alisson as well.

Green said on BBC Radio 5 Live (6:29pm): “We’ve seen three great finishes today and that was the best!

“It’s a wonderful header, planted into the far corner and the West Brom players are distraught. Liverpool probably feel like they’ve won the Champions League after that! The most incredible of finishes.”

The late goal means that Liverpool are still in the hunt for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.

Had the Reds not scored the winner, then they would have been pretty much out of the race.

Alisson may have just helped the Reds back into Europe’s premier club competition for next season.
