Graham Roberts has praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli on Twitter for his performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers today.
Alli started for Tottenham in their Premier League game against Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon.
The midfielder’s performance impressed former Spurs star Roberts, as Ryan Mason’s side won 2-0.
Roberts has said on Twitter that Alli was “very good” for Spurs against Wolves.
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was also impressed by the 25-year-old.
Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (2:04pm, May 16, 2021): “I have to say. I have worked with him. He is much admired not just in this country but around Europe and the world a couple of years ago. Long road back. It has been a disappointing season.”
The Englishman added on Sky Sports Premier League (3:43pm, May 16, 2021): “Yeah, he has taken 80 minutes. A few weeks ago… He looks happier. Obviously he is playing.”

Alli struggled to even get into the matchday squads when Jose Mourinho was in charge, but the 25-year-old looks happier now and is playing well when called upon by interim-manager Ryan Mason.
Against Wolves today, the England international looked very dynamic and energetic and was very impressive indeed.
Alli created a good chance for Harry Kane early in the first half and was involved in the build-up to the second Spurs goal.
The midfielder took four shots and one was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 81.1%, won one header, took 64 touches, attempted one dribble, made three tackles, one interception and one clearance, according to WhoScored.
Alli has had a difficult season, but with Mourinho gone, he will hope to fare better under a new manager in 2021-22 and beyond.
The 25-year-old is a very talented and promising young player who can score from midfield.
A good pre-season and a run of games could see Alli back to his best.
