Earlier this week, there were reports claiming that Leeds United and Aston Villa are interested in Matheus Pereira, and Liverpool midfielder Fabinho’s verdict on the West Bromwich Albion star will surely encourage the Whites and the Villans’ fans.

The Express reported this week that Leeds, West Ham United and Leicester City are interested in signing the 25-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

The Daily Mail has claimed that Villa want the Brazilian, with The Athletic reporting last month that Dean Smith’s side are monitoring him.

Liverpool will face West Brom away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League on Sunday.

Ahead of the game, defensive midfielder Fabinho has praised his Brazilian compatriot.

Fabinho told Liverpool’s official website: “They had some players in a really good moment, like the Brazilian Matheus Pereira.”

Fabinho is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.

The Liverpool star being wary of the quality of Pereira shows how good the West Brom star is, and he would make Leeds or Villa better.

Pereira has made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Baggies this season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
