Fans took to Twitter to wish Happy Birthday to English actor Robert Pattinson today on Thursday, May 13. Here’s a look at the actors most iconic movie roles.

Twitter is flooding with Happy Birthday messages for the star as he turns 35 this year.

Born on May 13, 1986, in London, Robert is the youngest of three children of Clare Charlton, and Richard Pattinson. His mother was a booker at a modelling agency while his father was a vintage car dealer.

Robert first came into the limelight following his brief role in the fourth Harry Potter film Goblet of Fire and the world hasn’t stopped googling about him ever since.

He has starred in some of the most successful films in the past two decades. On his 35th birthday, here’s a look at the British actor’s 7 most iconic movie roles.

Cedric is one of the main characters in the fourth Harry Potter book and movie, Goblet of Fire. The character represents Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Triwizard Tournament.

Robert shared the limelight with Daniel Radcliffe who stars as Harry in this film. His character Cedric eventually gets killed off Peter Pettigrew on Lord Voldemort’s orders.

Although Robert’s role in the film was brief, many fans couldn’t forget his performance. He is still very popular among Harry Potter’s fan base.

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen in the Twilight Franchise

Although Harry Potter was a breakthrough role for the British actor, it was his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight series that catapulted him to international stardom.

Robert starred in five Twilight movies alongside Kristen Stewart. They were Twilight, New MoonEclipse and Breaking Dawn, part 1 and 2.

Robert played Edward, the telepathic vampire who falls in love with Bella Swan. Over the course of the movies, he turns Bella, a human teenager into a vampire as well. The two then go on, get married and have children.

The Dauphin in Netflix’s The King

Robert starred alongside actor Timothee Chalamet in Netflix’s 2019 film, The King.

The actor stars as Louis, The Dauphin in the film.

Robert’s impressive performance of the eccentric Dauphin left many fans in awe. Based on true historical events, the film sees Robert’s character Dauphin of France sending assassins to kill Hal, the new king of England.

As matters get worse the two face each other on the battlefield in the Battle of Agincourt.

Although outnumbered by the French troops, Hal manages to overturn the battle.

We later see that Robert’s character The Dauphin, who has mocked the English king up until this point is incapable of lifting a sword and putting up a fight himself on the battlefield.

Hal finally permits his soldiers to kill him off.

Preston Teagardin in Netflix’s The Devil All The Time

The Devil All The Time is one of Robert’s latest movie appearances. The Netflix movie, released in 2020 and stars Tom Holland in the lead. The star cast includes actors like Bill Skarsgard, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Haley Bennett and others.

Robert plays the role of Reverend Preston Teagardin, a young and charismatic preacher. As the film progresses Preston turns out to be morally corrupt man, who rapes Lenora, Arvin’s (Tom Holland) adoptive sister.

Preston then abandons her when she becomes pregnant. Robert’s critically acclaimed performance in the film brought him a lot of fame. Many fans took to twitter to express how wonderful they thought his acting had been in it.

Neil in Tenet

Robert’s character Neil in Christopher Nolan’s latest thriller Tenet remains a mystery to many. Neil is the Protagonist’s (John David Washington) right-hand man. Throughout the film, the pair is on a mission to stop Sator (Kenneth Branagh) from ending the world.

While at the beginning it seemed like Neil was just some random person recruited by the protagonist, we later come to know that he plays a much more pivotal role in the story.

The upcoming Batman film will star Robert as the dark knight. Helmed by Matt Reeves, the film is slated for a 2022 release.
