Everton have a decision to make over Robin Olsen this summer – and Jose Mourinho suddenly has a big involvement in that situation.
The Toffees took Olsen on loan in October, adding the Swedish international as competition for Jordan Pickford in goal.
Everton will soon have to decide whether they want to sign Olsen permanently, but another goalkeeper continues to be linked.
Olsen was signed after Everton missed out on Sergio Romero, who has been stuck in the shadows at Manchester United since that move was blocked.
The Daily Mail reported in April that Romero still hope to sign for Everton this summer, seemingly not giving up hope of finally making the move to Merseyside.
Now though, The Telegraph claim that Mourinho wants to take Romero to Roma having worked with the Argentinian stopper at Manchester United.

Mourinho is seeking a new first-choice goalkeeper at Roma, and that kind of role must be appealing to Romero after being United’s third-choice this season.
If Romero picks Everton, Olsen may have a future to fight for at Roma. If Romero picks Roma, Olsen to Everton on a permanent basis becomes all the more likely.
This could really go either way, and Mourinho may hope that he can convince Romero to change his plans and move to Italy instead of looking for a deal at Goodison Park, where his former AZ Alkmaar chief Marcel Brands is in charge of transfers.
