Duncan Castles has told the Transfer Window podcast that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah’s agent has been working hard to get him a move to PSG, if one of their key players leaves.
Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports today that he expects Liverpool’s key players to stay, even if they don’t manage to qualify for the Champions League this season.
However, Liverpool may actually be impacted if Kylian Mbappe moves on from PSG.
It is claimed by Castles that Salah’s agent has helped to make the Liverpool forward the French club’s first choice replacement for Mbappe, as he has been in dialogue with them about a potential transfer.
“There is also the possibility that [PSG] they add Mohamed Salah to their cast,” Castles said.
“Certainly, my understanding is that Salah’s agent has been working very hard with PSG to put them in a position that, should they lose Mbappe for example in this window, Salah will be first-choice to replace him.”
The news is potentially worrying for Liverpool as they will surely be banking on Salah staying.

The Reds have struggled this time around, with numerous key defensive players out injured.
The likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino seemed to have been badly impacted by their team’s issues, but Salah’s goalscoring has remained constant.
The Liverpool forward has netted 20 goals again this season, making him the second top scorer in the Premier League.
And if he was to depart he will surely be virtually impossible to replace for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
