Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to inform Arsenal supporters about some news regarding Emile Smith Rowe’s future.
The Italian journalist reveals that Arsenal have offered the 20-year-old a five-year contract, and he’s happy to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
Romano adds that the Gunners have been working since March to sort out a new contract for their No.32.
The respected journalist also claims that Arsenal are optimistic about finding an agreement with the Hale End graduate soon.
This is fantastic news for the north Londoners, to say the very least.
Amid what has been a terrible campaign for Arsenal, Smith Rowe has brightened it up hugely with some fantastic displays.
It was his introduction into the first-team which sparked an upturn in Arsenal’s Premier League form around Christmas.

Smith Rowe grabbed an assist in the 3-0 win over Chelsea back on Boxing Day, before Arsenal went on a seven-game unbeaten run.
Recently, he has scored in back-to-back Premier League games against West Brom and Chelsea to slightly lift the mood around the Emirates Stadium.
Specifically, his bravery in possession and desire to carry the ball forward is a game changer for Arsenal.

There are currently few better ball retainers in Arsenal’s squad.
Him and Bukayo Saka have often carried the fight for Mikel Arteta this season, which is mightily impressive given their lack of experience.
If Arsenal do secure his long-term future, and sign a handful of quality additions in other areas, things could be looking up for the Gunners.
