Reported West Ham United and Borussia Dortmund target Jordan Larsson has admirers in Europe’s biggest leagues, agent Michael Jansen told Aftonbladet.
Like father, like son.
Henrik Larsson’s 23-year-old offspring is certainly doing the Celtic legend proud over in Russia, scoring goal after goal in the red and white of Spartak Moscow while attracting glances from all across the continent.
Goal reported in March that West Ham have identified Larsson Jr as the man to fill Sebastian Haller’s boots at the London Stadium.
Dortmund, meanwhile, are gearing up for a summer of speculation regarding star man Erling Haaland, all the while preparing themselves for the worst-case scenario.
Larsson would certainly have big boots to fill if he swaps Moscow for the banks of the Ruhr, however, even if a tally of 15 goals in 28 games this season highlights the youngster’s vast potential.
“Jordan is ambitious,” Jansen said when asked about the future of his much-coveted client.
“Spartak knows that and they also know that he thrives at the club. It is a good combination, to be able to have open and respectful discussions.
“He is followed by clubs from the biggest leagues but right now Jordan’s focus is on the league, to reach the Champions League and hopefully play in the European Championships with Sweden.”
Larsson spent 24 months in the famed La Masia academy during his father’s trophy-laden spell at Barcelona. And, some 15 years on, the La Liga giants want him back – at least, that is according to Spartak’s president.
“We know Jordan Larsson is a big target for Barcelona – but he is also a very important player for us,” said Leonid Fedun.
“Let Barcelona give us €100 million (£85 million) to complete the transfer.”
