Tyrese Dyce could be set for a move to Sunderland after the young winger was released by West Bromwich Albion, as reported by the Northern Echo.
The first player to leave the Baggies following their relegation from the Premier League isn’t Sam Johnstone or Matheus Pereira but a little-known 20-year-old who played for the Baggies regularly at U23 level.
Despite adapting impressively to a new-look attacking role, converted left-back Dyce has been allowed to leave the Hawthorns with his contract running down.
But, according to reports coming out of the north east, Dyce may not have to wait too long to find a new club.
Sunderland have taken the youngster on trial, handing Dyce a full 90 minutes during a 1-1 draw with Stoke City’s U23 side on Monday.

Interestingly, a player most comfortable on the left featured through the middle in a 4-2-3-1 formation, according to FlashScore.
Sam Wilding, another former West Brom starlet, also featured in his preferred deep-lying midfield role but there was no sign of Harrison Sohna, the teenager who recently spent time on Wearside as Aston Villa prepare to let him go.
