Rangers have sent scouts to watch Coventry City on numerous occasions this season as Gustavo Hamer continues to be linked with the Scottish Premiership champions, as reported by the Coventry Telegraph.
Now, the Midlands-based publication could hardly have made it any clearer.
As it stands, Rangers haven’t made a bid for Hamer, Coventry’s Brazilian-born Dutchman. Nor have they held talks with the Championship outfit regarding a potential deal for the 23-year-old.
Of course, that could soon change.
Last week, GiveMeSport reported Rangers are interested in the diminutive playmaker, who’s understood to be valued at £4 million.
And the Coventry Telegraph claims the Glasgow giants have been sending scouts to St Andrews throughout the campaign, although it’s unclear at this stage whether the presence of Hamer in Mark Robins’ midfield was the reason why.

There’s no shortage of talented young players plying their trade at Coventry, after all.
The scheming Callum O’Hare and speedy Tyler Walker are exactly the sort of up-and-coming prospects Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson keeps an eye on.
The Athletic, meanwhile, this week reported West Bromwich Albion have identified Hamer as a key part of their rebuilding project following relegation from the Premier League.
