Some Birmingham City fans on social media have been reacting to the news that Xuandong Ren has stepped down as the club’s CEO.

Banners have been placed outside of the ground and flown over the stadium as fans turned on the CEO, and he’s finally stepped down from his role.

Luckily, Birmingham have managed to avoid the drop for another year after what has to be described as remarkable work from Lee Bowyer, and now they may have a platform to build on.

Of course, it remains to be seen who replaces Ren, but it’s hard to believe that his successor will be able to do a worse job than he did.

Understandably, Birmingham fans were overjoyed with this news, and here’s what they’ve been saying on social media…
