Arsenal are said to have made signing Eduardo Camavinga from Stade Rennais one of their top priorities this summer by Le 10 Sport.

Camavinga may only be 18, but he has quickly become one of France’s top prospects.

With Arsenal looking to develop their squad, they are now apparently keen on the central midfielder.

Arsenal are ‘doing everything’ to try and beat the competition to Camavinga’s signature, which could be easier said than done.

Camavinga, who was hailed as incredible by Rennes president Nicolas Holveck (FootMercato), is linked with some of Europe’s top sides, including Real Madrid, but Arsenal may be able to offer the youngster regular first-team football which would appeal.

Mikel Arteta’s side are unlikely to have any European football to offer Camavinga, but there is a slot alongside Thomas Partey which he looks ideally suited to.

Camavinga has been capped at full international level by France already, and his skill-set suggests he could be a real star of the future.

Camavinga is blessed with great technical ability, but he can also get around the pitch with ease and is seriously well rounded.

Paul Pogba is among the growing list of admirers of the teenager.

He said to Sports Keeda: “It is a pleasure to see him don the (French) shirt.

“I was truly happy for him. I only wish him the best and much more. He makes me think a bit about me. He is not a timid person. It is good, because he is confident.

“He has confidence in his qualities. He is a very good youngster, I like him enormously.”

If Camavinga was to join Arsenal he would join a clutch of seriously exciting youngsters already at the club, including Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli.
