Ian Wright has said on Premier League Productions that he would like to see Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe add goals to his game.
The Arsenal legend made the comments following the Gunners’ 3-1 win against West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Sunday evening.
Smith Rowe opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 29th minute, as they went on to pick up all three points from the encounter.
It was the 20-year-old’s first goal in the Premier League for Arsenal, and club legend Wright wants him to score more.
The former England international striker believes that Smith Rowe can be a complete midfielder if he adds goals to his game.
Wright said about Smith Rowe on Premier League Productions: “It’s the one thing he wants to do. He wants to add more goals. He has been playing really well. The only thing left for him to do for his game – because he has got everything, one touch, two touch, round the corner, pace – is to add more goals to his game.”
Smith Rowe has taken over Mesut Ozil as the creator-in-chief of Arsenal and has done well this season.

The attacking midfielder has played well alongside Real Madrid-owned Martin Odegaard or when he has been main man in charge of creating chances.
For an attacking midfielder it is important to score goals. Premier League legend Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard were superb at getting goals from midfield.
Smith Rowe needs to add goals to his game and should not be scared of taking shots on target from distance or going on a run into the opposition’s penalty box and then shooting.
