According to Football London, a number of Tottenham players are backing Graham Potter to become the club’s next manager after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

So many names have been linked with the vacant post at Spurs, but some players within the squad now feel that Potter is the right man for the job, with his style of play at Brighton leaving an impression on some of them.

It’s unknown which players, in particular, are fans of Potter, but Football London seem to suggest that there are a few Spurs stars in that camp.

To be fair, we can understand why. Potter’s Brighton play some unbelievably attractive football, and they probably don’t deserve to be in such a lowly position in the Premier League.

Potter has previously been described as a ‘genius‘, so it seems as though he’d be a good option for Tottenham from a tactical standpoint.

Of course, there are a couple of drawbacks when it comes to appointing Potter at Spurs. He lacks experience at the top level, and as we said, Brighton aren’t in the best position in the Premier League.

However, with Spurs’ options whittling down after the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Erik Ten Hag and Julian Nagelsmann have seemingly been ruled out.

Potter would certainly be an interesting appointment and if the Tottenham players want him to be their next manager, Daniel Levy may want to listen to their pleas.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
