According to Il Bianconero, Everton have submitted a proposal to Aaron Ramsey, but he would only leave Juventus immediately for Arsenal.
The Italian news outlet claim that Everton have submitted a ‘serious and intriguing’ offer to the 30-year-old.
However, Ramsey would only leave Juventus in the immediate future for Arsenal, where he spent 11 years of his career.
In fairness to him, Ramsey has struggled with a number of injuries in Turin, while the entire team is playing poorly under Andrea Pirlo too.
Il Bianconero claim that the former Cardiff maestro believes he still has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League, and would be open to a return.
Whoever lands his services, whether it be Arsenal or Everton, will be getting a brilliant player who has already bossed England’s top-flight.
He also lifted two FA Cups for Arsenal, scoring the winning goal in both finals – a 3-2 win over Hull, and a 2-1 win over Chelsea.
The only worries involved in bringing him back to England are his injury issues, and his astronomical wages.
When Juventus signed him on a free transfer, they handed Ramsey a contract worth £400,000-a-week to make up for the lack of a transfer fee.
Surely, he would have to reduce that by over 50% if he is join Everton or Arsenal, especially in a market damaged by COVID-19.
