According to Le Parisien, Mohamed Salah wants to leave Liverpool with Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing him.
However, the Egypt international is not their Plan A.
The French news outlet claim that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will target Liverpool’s No.11 if Kylian Mbappé leaves the Parc des Princes.
Salah has two years left on his contract at Anfield, but Le Parisien state that he wants to leave with PSG viewing him as a ‘dream’ player to have.
It’s no surprise that he’s viewed as a dream.
Salah has emerged as one of the best forwards in Europe since moving to Liverpool.
In total, the 28-year-old has scored as astonishing 123 goals in 198 games for the Reds, while also recording 45 assists.
It’s no wonder that Jürgen Klopp called him a ‘remarkable’ footballer after his double against Leicester back in December 2017 (Guardian).

Strangely, Le Parisien claim that Salah is valued at just €80 million (£69 million) by Liverpool, which seems far too low.
The former Chelsea attacker is among Europe’s best, and even in a market damaged by COVID-19, Liverpool could surely command over £100 million.
In our view, the only way in which Liverpool can make the departure of Salah into a positive is if they’re the ones to sign Mbappé.

At 22 years of age, he is six years younger than Salah, so it would be clever work from Liverpool to effectively swap the two.
It’s either that, or the Reds keep Salah into his thirties and watch his value drop hugely.
Whatever happens, it will still be heartbreaking for Liverpool fans to see a modern day icon leave Anfield.
