Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced the opening of their High Performance Centre at Bodymoor Heath.

The High Performance Centre was opened by His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, and is extremely exciting news for the Villans.

Aston Villa’s state-of-the-art facility has been designed specifically for elite performance, and is one of the United Kingdom’s finest according to the club’s announcement.

The High Performance Centre will not just be used by Dean Smith’s men.

It will also be accessible to Aston Villa’s women’s team, as well as the boys and girls in the club’s academy set-up.

Aston Villa’s announcement adds that there is still work to be done.

A new multi-media analysis facility and a mini auditorium will also be installed, as well as individual player coaching and meeting areas.

These features are set to be completed in time for Aston Villa’s pre-season activities, beginning in July.

It really is an exciting time to be an Aston Villa fan.

Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are taking the Villans to another level, both on and off the pitch.

Smith’s men are more than good enough to secure a place in the Europa League next season, at least.

They could even achieve that this season if they finish well.

Keep Jack Grealish, add a few more top-class signings in weak areas, and there’s no reason why Aston Villa can’t do what West Ham are doing in fighting for a place in the Champions League.
