Jamie Carragher has suggested to Monday Night Football that he doesn’t believe he’s ever seen Vladimir Coufal have a poor game for West Ham United.
Coufal helped West Ham to a 2-1 win against Burnley last night, as he set up Michail Antonio’s first goal of the net.
The right-back whipped in a wonderful cross, as West Ham secured a vital three points.
And Carragher spoke of his admiration of the Czech Republic international after the game.
“I think he’s been one of the signings of the season,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.
“We talk about [Tomas] Soucek, but Coufal whether it’s right wing-back or right full-back at different times, he’s just one of those players that’s 7/10 minimum every time you watch him play.
“He’s the type of player you’d love to play with him. A manager’s dream, never injured, he’s there week in week out.”
Coufal certainly has caught the eye at West Ham this season, through his robust performances.
The whole-hearted defender has rarely looked troubled, and he stands out as one of the very finest players in his position in the whole league.
Coufal may not have quite the style of a Trent Alexander-Arnold, or the pace of a Kyle Walker, but he still has no shortage of quality and for the price West Ham paid, he looks like a huge bargain.
Coufal will be hoping to help guide West Ham into the Champions League, with David Moyes’ side currently sat just three points outside the top four.
