Jermaine Jenas has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:18pm, April 30, 2021) that Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is the most important player for the Gunners.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was impressed by Saka’s performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Villarreal away from home in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday.
Jenas has said that he would want the 19-year-old England international, who can also operate as a left-back, in his team.
Saka earned a penalty for Arsenal in the second half and was arguably the best player for Mikel Arteta’s side, as he tried to make things happen and was a problem for the Villarreal players during his time on the pitch.
Jenas said about Saka on BBC Radio 5 Live (7:18pm, April 30, 2021): “How has he become the most important player in Arsenal’s team? I watched the game last night.
“I thought that the penalty was a bit dodgy, he left his leg out a little bit, but what I liked about it was I am watching him and I am thinking I want him on my team. He is a player I want on my side.”

Big player for Arsenal
Saka is only 19, but the teenager has already shown just how good he is and how far he can go in his career.
It is not always easy for a teenager to play week in and week out for a club as big as Arsenal, but Saka is doing just that.
Credit must also be given to Arsenal manager Arteta for keeping faith in the teenager and playing him pretty much every week.
According to WhoScored, Saka has made 27 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
The winger has also made seven starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for the Gunners this campaign, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
