According to The Telegraph, Hansi Flick is interested in becoming manager of Tottenham, after Daniel Levy sacked José Mourinho.

The 56-year-old has just left Bayern Munich, and will be replaced by Julian Nagelsmann – a man who Spurs were linked with.

He was widely expected to replace Joachim Löw as manager of Germany.

Now, however, The Telegraph claim that he is interested in moving to north London.

The Telegraph add that Tottenham are yet to reciprocate his interest, which is strange given his recent accomplishments.

Flick was named as UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year back in October after steering Bayern Munich to the treble.

The 56-year-old helped the Bavarians win the Bundesliga title, the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League in what was a stunning campaign.

Transfermarkt shows that he has won six trophies in total as a manager – his World Cup success came when assisting Löw as his No.2.

If Flick is keen, Levy would be mad not to at least interview him, in our view.

The German has won 157 of his 279 games as a manager, earning 524 points in total across his career in the dugout.

Additionally, Flick’s teams have scored 594 goals, while only conceding 350.

He averages 1.88 points per game, and is among the best coaches in Europe right now.

Bayern Munich also won their trophies playing an eye-catching, entertaining style of football.

After Mourinho bored the Tottenham fans to sleep most weeks, the brand of football is a very important factor when choosing the next manager.

Surely, Levy has to arrange a meeting with Flick, at the very least.
