Ian Wright has said on Premier League Productions that he is baffled at the poor form of Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.
The former Arsenal star has said that he cannot understand how Liverpool ace Firmino misses some of the chances that he gets.
Wright said on Premier League Productions: “Firmino, that one baffling for me because when you watch him from a technical point of view, I just can’t understand some of the chances, some of the shots he misses and his poor record in front of goal.”
Roberto Firmino’s record
Liverpool are not having the best of seasons, and Firmino is one of the players who has not done well.
The 29-year-old – who has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Hoffenheim for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £29 million – has scored six goals and provided five assists in 29 Premier League starts this season, according to WhoScored.
The Brazil International forward made three starts and six substitute appearances in the Champions League for the Reds this season, but he could not score a single goal, according to WhoScored.
According to BBC Sport, the 29-year-old has a goal conversion rate of 10% and a shot accuracy rate of 52%.

Not a prolific goalscorer
While Firmino’s record in front of goal is not great, it must be noted that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp does not play him as a traditional number 9.
The Brazil international is not expected to be the main goalscorer, but since except Mohamed Salah the attacking unit has struggled this season, Firmino is being highlighted.
According to WhoScored, the Brazilian scored nine goals in the Premier League last season, while in 2018-19, he found the back of the net 12 times in the league.
