According to Sunday World, Liverpool are in discussions over a deal for Brighton maestro Yves Bissouma, who is also wanted by Arsenal.

The report claims that Gini Wijnaldum is close to agreeing a deal to join Barcelona, so Jürgen Klopp is looking to bolster his midfield options.

As a result, sources have told Sunday World that a £35 million deal for Brighton’s No.8 is currently under discussion at Anfield.

Sunday World add that Bissouma and his advisors are aware of Liverpool’s interest.

His stance on a potential move to Merseyside, however, has not changed.

As mentioned in Sunday World‘s report, he last said that he was committed to Brighton and focused on helping them stay in the Premier League.

Now, we wonder if Arsenal will react to this development.

According to the Express, the Gunners have already contacted Bissouma’s agent over a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Football London then claimed that the 14-cap Mali international is keen on linking up with Mikel Arteta in north London.

It’s no surprise that England’s biggest clubs are fighting for the 24-year-old.

Bissouma is arguably Brighton’s most important player, starting 30 of the club’s 33 Premier League games this season.

He is a technically sound midfielder, whose ability to carry the ball up the pitch and take players on catches the eye.

Bissouma also has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt, making 81 appearances in England’s top-flight.

Whoever lands the Malian will be getting a brilliant footballer, who has plenty of time on his side to get even better.
