Speaking on Arsenal’s YouTube channel, Martin Odegaard has been waxing-lyrical about Mikel Arteta, praising his style of football and describing him as ‘great’.
The Norwegian of course joined Arsenal on loan in January, and he says that he’s always been a big admirer of Arsenal’s style of play under Arteta.
The Spaniard seems to be getting the best out of the Real Madrid loanee, and we can only hope that he shows his talents in the Europa League semi-finals.
“I think the most important thing was how the club and how the manager wants to play and the style as I’ve said many times, I enjoy the way Arsenal play football, especially after Mikel has taken over, his style, I think it suits me really well,” Odegaard said.
“I’m having a good time and the manager is great, the team is good and we have so many good players, and the way we play suits me really well, and I’ve adapted really well to the league and the style, so yeah, I’m happy.”
It seems as though Odegaard is really enjoying linking up with Arteta.
This is great to hear if you’re an Arsenal fan hoping to see Odegaard join on a permanent deal at the end of the season, but as we know, the deal could be very complicated.
Arteta has caught a lot of flak at times this season, but it seems as though every player who works under him has a lot of praise for him.
