Some Arsenal fans fans on Twitter think that Folarin Balogun will be in the matchday squad against Villarreal this week.

Arsenal will take on Villarreal away from home in Spain in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday evening.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were unavailable for Arsenal in their Premier League game against Everton last week.

Eddie Nketiah started for the Gunners, and while Balogun was at the stadium, he was left out of the matchday squad.

However, some Arsenal fans have spotted a clue that Balogun will be in the matchday squad against Villarreal.

The 19-year-old signed a new contract with the Gunners yesterday and was left out of the North London club’s Under-23 team against their Leicester City counterparts, leading to some fans thinking that he will be in action against Villarreal this week.

Balogun is a very young striker, but the 19-year-old is hugely talented and has done well for the Arsenal Under-23 side.

While the England Under-20 international has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, he has also done well in the Europa League.

According to WhoScored, the 19-year-old striker has scored two goals and provided one assist in five substitute appearances in the Europa League this season.

Balogun, who has a bright future ahead, could get his chance against Villarreal this week, especially if Aubameyang and Lacazette are still unavailable.
