Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the image of Eric Dier after the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
Tottenham suffered a 1-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday.
Aymeric Laporte scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute to crush Spurs’ dreams of winning a major trophy.
Dier started the match in defence, and although the England international played well, he could not help his side to a win.
The 27-year-old, who can also operate as a midfielder, was caught on camera staring at the end of the pitch at Wembley where Tottenham conceded after finishing a media interview.
Some Tottenham fans have responded to that image, and below are some of the best comments:

It was a disappointing performance from Spurs, who could not really put the City defence under pressure consistently over the course of the 90 minutes.
City were the better team and deservedly won the final, but the Spurs defenders, including Dier, should be pleased that they conceded just one goal.
The 27-year-old has not had the best of seasons, like many of his teammates, and he will know that he could do better.
According to WhoScored, the former Sporting Lisbon star has played 24 times in the Premier League, and made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Spurs this season.
