Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports that Leeds United’s Mateusz Klich looked ‘shattered’ just moments after he came on yesterday.

Klich was introduced for Leeds during the second-half of their 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

The Polish international was swiftly involved in the action, as he went on a driving run through midfield and created a shooting opportunity, just two minutes after coming on.

However, when the Leeds made found the opening, his shot was tame and straight at Dean Henderson.

And Carragher felt that the Leeds man looked really tired, despite being fresh off the bench.

“Initially when Klich got into position to take the shot he just looked shattered,” he said.

“He only just came on as a sub as well. It was a tired effort, on his weak foot, and it wasn’t great defending from Lindelof actually.”

Klich’s shot was one of the better opportunities Leeds’ created yesterday, despite it only being a half-chance.

Many pundits had predicted an end to end thriller, but the clash was actually a bit of a disappointment as a spectacle.

Leeds, however, will surely be delighted as they have now gone unbeaten in three games against Manchester City, Liverpool and United – which shows huge progress in their first season in the top flight.
