According to Het Nieuwsblad, Rangers target Fashion Sakala is snubbing a big-money switch to the Middle East – possibly in favour of Ibrox.

The Daily Record reported on Friday night that Oostende striker Sakala is in advanced talks to join Rangers, and looks set to join for free.

Sakala is out of contract at the end of the season, and it’s claimed that Rangers are set to get a long-term deal done having pursued Sakala for months.

Het Nieuwsblad claim the deal isn’t done just yet, but they have been given a real indication that the Zambian striker is Ibrox-bound.

They suggest that Sakala has refused an offer from the Middle East, as whilst the money is great, it’s not what he wants right now.

A money-spinning move wouldn’t fulfil Sakala’s sporting desires, and it looks he’s picking a move to Ibrox instead.

Sakala, 24, has hit 13 goals and three assists in 28 games for Oostende this season, and his versatility to play up front or out wide is no doubt appealing to the Gers.

Formerly of Spartak Moscow, Sakala could be a bargain addition for Rangers, and this latest development is another hint that he’s heading for Glasgow.
