Solo Leveling: TV drama series…

  • According to reports, a television adaptation of Solo Leveling is being planned, with the drama series expected to be produced by a studio in the US.

On April 13th, Maeil Business News Korea released a press statement concerning the upcoming Solo Leveling projects that are being discussed.

The article revealed that a television series based on Solo Leveling is being planned to be produced in the United States.

According to the statement, several companies are already showing interest in the project, including Warner Bros; a movie and video game are also being discussed.

Solo Leveling drama: Release date

At the time of writing, a release date for the Solo Leveling TV adaptation has not been revealed and production on the series itself has not been confirmed.

Whilst Warner Bros. was mentioned as a company interested in the project, no production studio has officially been named.

Assuming that a Solo Leveling television series is confirmed within this calendar year, fans can expect to be waiting until 2022 for the drama to premiere.

However, this may be influenced by the distribution network it would use; with confirmation that it would air on an international streaming service.

The likely frontrunner with distribution is Netflix, which continues to produce original shows from similar backgrounds (Sweet Home, Alice in Borderland etc).

Solo Leveling drama: Cast and plot

At the time of writing, no information on either the potential plot or cast for the Solo Leveling drama series has been revealed.

However, considering the series’ incredible narrative, it is highly likely that the production company would want to stick to the original storyline.

In terms of casting, there are a few avenues that production could entertain, but most important is where the series will take place.

If the series will be produced in the US, as the article claims, then expect North American actors to be involved; whereas the original series is from South Korea.

This article will be updated as soon as more information on the possible Solo Leveling television series is announced.
