Tottenham Hotspur fans have called for Daniel Levy to leave next, after Ed Woodward announced his intention to resign at Manchester United last night.
In one of the most dramatic evenings of news in Premier League history, Tottenham and United both announced their intentions to withdraw from the European Super League last night.
After a dramatic 24 hours, the backlash from football supporters caused Tottenham and Manchester United into a u-turn over their decision.
Woodward has now brought forward his resignation at Old Trafford.
And Levy is now facing vociferous calls from Tottenham fans to do the same.
Levy has been a controversial figure at Tottenham for some time now, and it is difficult to see how he remains in his post amid rising pressure.
His decision to appoint Jose Mourinho has been widely ridiculed by Spurs fans, while Tottenham’s brief entry into the Super League appears to have been the straw which broke the camel’s back.
Levy wrote a short note to Tottenham fans last night after the news, but it was more of an explanation than an apology.
And ‘Levy Out’ was quickly trending on Twitter, such was the volume of calls for him to go.
