Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club took them behind the scenes of Ryan Mason’s training session yesterday.
The 29-year-old could be seen marching around Hotspur Way, clipboard in hand, looking the business following the sacking of José Mourinho.
Mason seemingly coached a bunch of players who were in good spirits.
In the footage, there seems to be plenty of laughter, smiles on faces, and some fun drills which the players seemed to take well to.
On the face of it, Mason’s session seemed vastly different to one of Mourinho’s.
You only need to look at this picture of Harry Kane and others in training, looking miserable under Mourinho, to get an idea of what one of his sessions could’ve been like – Dele Alli doesn’t look interested, does he?

One thing worth mentioning is that Mason is only 29, and was a player himself not too long ago.
While Mourinho’s man-management methods might be outdated, Mason is very much a modern coach who should know what the modern player responds well to, and what they don’t respond well to.
He will become the youngest Premier League manager of all time when he oversees tonight’s game against Southampton.

Then, Mason will take on one of football’s brightest minds at Wembley on Sunday – Pep Guardiola.
Let’s see how the Tottenham fans reacted to seeing one of Mason’s sessions at Hotspur Way…
