Who owns Tottenham Hotspur? Daniel Levy is the man everyone has been talking about, but he’s not the majority shareholder in north London.
It’s been a tumultuous 24 hours for Tottenham, with news of joining the European Super League and sacking Jose Mourinho emerging on the same day, so we’re going to take a look at who has been behind those decisions.
So, who really owns Spurs?
Who owns Spurs?

Tottenham’s ownership model isn’t as straightforward as most clubs’ in England.
Tottenham have a number of stakeholders, and the largest of those is ENIC International Limited, a company that owns 85.55% of the club.
Daniel Levy and certain members of his family are the beneficiaries of a trust that owns 29.4% of the share capital of ENIC International Limited.
Meanwhile Joe Lewis owns 70.6% of ENIC International Limited.
That leaves 14.45% of the club in the hands of other shareholders, but make no mistake about it, ENIC, which is a combination of Levy and Lewis, are calling the shots at Spurs.
What is Daniel Levy’s job?

Daniel Levy may not be the majority shareholder of ENIC, but he is the chairman of Tottenham.
This ultimately makes him the most powerful person at the club, and he has the final say on the big decisions made at Tottenham, including sacking managers and making transfers.
Who is Joe Lewis?

We all know about Daniel Levy, he’s known to be the man in charge of the day-to-day running of the club, but less is known about his business partner.
Lewis is less involved with Spurs, partially due to the fact he usually resides in the Bahamas and he’s 84 years old.
The good news for Spurs is that he’s got plenty of money. He’s reportedly worth almost £4 billion, making him one of the wealthiest football club owners in England.
