Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur deciding to part company with Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham have announced on their official website this morning that they have decided to relieve Mourinho of his duties as the first-team head coach.

Ryan Mason will be in charge of the first team for now, according to the statement.

Spurs’ decision to sack Mourinho comes just a day after the North London club decided to be part of the European Super League.

Former Liverpool striker Collymore, who now works as a pundit, has given his take on the dismissal of Mourinho on Twitter.

Collymore wrote: “Speculation about Jose blowing up over the Super League. He’s always the chancer so I’m sure we’ll get the Mother Theresa-esque ‘I’m a football man, the Super League is contrary to my values’ anyway, but it’s more than likely Levy can now f**k him off with £ because Spurs have £.”

Tottenham are back in action in midweek when they take on Southampton in the Premier League and will then face Manchester City in the EFL Cup.

Spurs are still in with a chance of finishing in the Premier League top four, but now that they are in the European Super League, there is no need for them to do so.

However, Tottenham would love to win a major trophy, and the fans will hope that they beat City in the EFL Cup final.

Interestingly, City are also part of the European Super League.
