Roy Keane told Super Sunday on Sky Sports that Arsenal midfielder, Emile Smith Rowe, is a ‘talented boy’.
The former Premier League midfielder shared that he loves watching the Arsenal academy product in action.
Smith Rowe started for Arsenal on Sunday during their 1-1 draw with Fulham on Sunday – Eddie Nketiah was the star of the show as he came off the bench to score a stoppage-time equaliser.
And when Keane saw that Smith Rowe was starting, he was pretty pleased to see his name on the teamsheet.
“He’s a talented boy,” said Keane. “There’s no getting away from that. I am glad he’s playing because when I hear about young players being rested. Let them play!
“I like the fact that he runs with the ball. He wants to get behind teams. A lot of players now it’s tippy-tappy football.
“He likes to stretch teams. I am delighted that he is playing. I look forward to watching him.”

To think that, at the start of the season, Arsenal were looking for that creative spark and there was an outcry when the now-departed, Mesut Ozil, was left out of the club’s 25-man squad.
Arsenal searched the transfer market for that creative talent but little did they know they know that their answer to their problems was staring at them in their face.
Unlike Bukayo Saka, his fellow academy product didn’t start the season as a regular, but one thing is for sure now, Smith Rowe is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
